We live where the land remembers. In the silent valleys of Dartmoor, where the fog is a living thing and the tors stand as ancient sentinels, we find the roots of our stories. Harlow Black is a writer of the Devonverse cycle, an interconnected body of work that explores the places where myth, landscape, and memory bleed into one another.
Our work is a slow-burn excavation of forgotten rituals and the weight of place. Drawing on a background in English and History, we blend historical realism with uncanny intrusion to create worlds where the land itself remembers. We are the authors of strange histories, building a universe of myth and horror from the bones of the West Country.
Harlow Black lives in the shadow of the tors with his dog, Freyja, continuing to build a universe of myth and horror from the bones of the West Country. We believe that every story has a shadow, and every shadow has a name.
